This new year is especially exciting as we are celebrating 25 years of engineering places to live, learn, work, play and heal. Over this quarter century, we have forged strong relationships and collaborated with many amazing partners, clients, colleagues, and agencies to bring thousands of amazing projects to life.
Each month, we will celebrate the history of Engineering Ventures and highlight a handful of projects from these time periods that made a difference in our communities. We invite you to follow along on our journey, culminating with our annual open house this fall.
If you are reading this post, you have likely been a part of our success. We want to thank you for your trust and collaboration over the years. We would not be where we are today without this network of hard-working, innovative partners. We love what we do and much of that comes from who we are working with.
Cheers!!
The Engineering Ventures Team
Bob and Peter had a wonderful time celebrating at the AIAVT Design Awards Banquet this December with many of our partners and friends.
Engineering Ventures provided structural engineering services for the following award winning projects:

Red Clover Common Housing by gbA. This multi-family residential project won 2nd place for the Peers Choice Award.
Birdseye Design won three awards including
a citation award for Hygge, 1st place for Peers Choice Award for Lift House, and a Merit award for ADK Camp.

These photos, taken on November 27th, show the first of 5 new rows of Oldcastle Stormcapture Infiltration units being installed to form a new infiltration system at the Dartmouth College, Dana Hall project designed by EV.
This system was designed to not only treat the project area’s stormwater, but also replace treatment that was displaced by the project for offsite runoff.

Clark Agnew, P.E. and Sara Dorr, E.I., took a trip to the VT State House last Friday to observe the Ceres statue raising. They loved seeing their structural engineering design in action as the yellow temporary lifting steel structure and internal steel support mast provided enduring stability for her return home to the top of the dome.
Once lifted and placed, the statue was connected to the refurbished dome with beefy (that’s a technical term!) steel plates and cushioned with neoprene pads. Additional reinforcing was added within the statue pedestal to keep her safely affixed for years to come.

EV provided the civil engineering and permitting services for all phases of the Channing Cox parking lot improvements at Dartmouth College including 3 FocalPoint brand biofiltration systems with an expanded R Tank.
Check out this great video of the installation of these new biofiltration systems.
