What We Do

We are a team of engineers, designers, and professionals creating amazing, sustainable, and creative solutions.

Service Oriented

Amazing service begins with understanding the needs of the client and delivering on these needs. We are known for listening first and then developing creative yet practical solutions to an array of challenges - from simple to complex. We bring a wealth of experience, expertise, insight, and a commitment to use state of the art technology to collaborate and push the limits of engineering.

Combined Structural & Civil

Take advantage of the efficiencies in having one firm handle your structural and civil services for your entire project. These include coordination between trades, avoidance of “missed scope” items, and combined structural-civil solutions based on collaboration. Additionally, we find that these full-service projects are easier to manage in-house and offer a discount on fees to pass on this savings to our clients.

Sustainable Design

Commitment to the practices and principles of sustainable design and energy efficiency are engrained in the firm. Our design process incorporates high performance thermal envelopes and locally manufactured and recycled materials in new construction or retrofit of existing buildings to create an environment that is efficient with resources, affordable to build and maintain, and a healthy space to inhabit.

Historic Preservation Expertise

Preserving historic structural building systems is our specialty. We have a strong reputation for evaluation and restoration/rehabilitation of many public and private structures. When developing remedial plans or renovation designs, we are sensitive to the historic fabric of a building and focus on minimizing remedial work. We are well-versed in the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and tax credits.

  • Thanks for your excellent report on our water problem in the Stagecoach Inn basement.  Your recommendation to improve surface and subsurface draining outside the building seems to be the bet way to go.  Thanks also for recommending a possible contractor if we need to catch the water once it enters the basement. – Richard L.
