Tyler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University. He has been working in consulting engineering since April of 2015.
Tyler’s first 3 years were spent designing septic systems and performing survey work for residential subdivisions and small commercial projects. Since 2015, he has been working for Engineering Ventures in Burlington Vermont, where he performs utility and site design for academic institutions, municipalities, housing development projects, Vermont State Parks, Recreation and Fish and Wildlife departments, as well as a mix of residential and humanitarian projects.
Tyler’s volunteer work in the professional community began in 2016 when he first joined the Vermont ASCE Board. He began as Membership Chair and rose through the ranks, serving as President during the 2020-2021. He has shifted focus to the Government Relations committee to make sure that the engineering community has a voice in local and national policy making. He is a co-author for the stormwater section of both the 2019 and 2023 ASCE-VT Infrastructure Report Cards.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys outdoor recreation in the Vermont wilderness and serving as the team captain of his intramural softball teams in the summer and fall.
