Have you ever wanted to explore through the trees like a bird? Well, now is your chance! This past Saturday, the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences Forest Canopy Walkway opened with a ribbon cutting. Engineering Ventures provided permitting assistance for this impressive structure. EV’s very own Erik Christman, who works in our Lebanon office, attended the ribbon cutting and got a first look at what he helped create.

Because there is a steep drop in elevation towards the Orrauquechee River, the walkway can remain level and still “gain” height. This ensures that guests will have as much a view as possible, all the while retaining an ADA compliance. There are a few interesting elements to the walkway such as a treehouse and a giant “spider web” that visitors can climb into.
We are proud to have been a part of this wonderful project!
