Civil & structural engineering services were provided for a 6,500-SF+/- addition to the Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga, NY. The civil scope included improvements to the existing parking area including realignment of the entrance drives, additional parking areas, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design, utility design, and coordination with the hospital and various contractors the campus wide improvement projects that were occurring at this facility during construction.
Our structural team designed the superstructure and foundations for the one story addition as well as modifications to the existing structure to accommodate the proposed renovations in the lower level of existing building.
Civil engineering, permitting, and construction administration were also provided for campus wide improvements including the re-alignment and roadway design for 1,870 linear feet +/- of new campus roadways, new parking area expansions, improvements to existing parking areas, and campus-wide stormwater management.
The overall goal of the project was to improve vehicular and pedestrian circulation and safety throughout the existing campus while increasing parking capacity and providing an aesthetically pleasing and modern improved hospital campus. The project required permitting from various agencies including the NYSDOT and the NYSDEC for stormwater. The project was conducted in multiple phases. Construction for the final phase of the project was completed in Fall of 2020.
