Civil and structural engineering services were provided for the renovation and expansion of the Rubenstein School of Environmental and Natural Resources.
The project was designed for LEED Platinum Certification and includes a green roof system which is used to test stormwater management strategies. It project not only received a LEED Platinum certification, it is the highest scoring LEED Platinum building in the state of Vermont, garnering 60 out of a possible 69 points. This is the first LEED Platinum building for The University of Vermont. In addition, a 2500sf solarium addition that harbors a mezzanine classroom and ecomachine, all of which provide a new face for this prominent building at the entrance to the UVM campus.
