Civil engineering services as well as permitting were provided for the expansion of the Athletic Complex. An overall plan was developed for the site. Provided were; demolition of existing utility structures, a proposed site plan and erosion control plan, layout and final grading, and sanitary sewer, water and design of a subsurface stormwater retention system, and extensive under drains. Additionally design and construction administration services were provided to the Athletic Department for the construction of a 95,000 square foot artificial turf field to be utilized by three sport programs. The design incorporates subsurface stormwater storage; a high pressure water cannon loop around the field and elaborate site amenities.
Civil design services were provided for a nine-lane synthetic surface track with a grass infield for javelin, discus and shot put events. An adjacent throwing area will be used for the hammer throw competition. The facility also includes two multi-directional long jump and pole vault runways and pits, a storage building, and bleacher seating for 350 spectators.
