Structural engineering services were provided for a new 111,000 sf one-story manufacturing facility and 25,000 sf two-story office space. The structure includes 111,000sf purposed for the manufacture of plasma cutters. The structure provides support for significant roof top electrical services, a vast array of mechanical systems and a 50,000 Lb. cooling tower. Due to poor native soil conditions and the desire to minimize excavation across the vast site, perimeter foundations were provided by shallow frost protected footings designed as grade beams to resist elastic settlement.
