George D. Aiken Center, University of Vermont, Burlington, VT

Civil and structural engineering services were provided for the renovation and expansion for the home of the Rubenstein School of Environmental and Natural Resources.  The project not only received a LEED Platinum certification, it is the highest scoring LEED Platinum building in the state of Vermont, garnering 60 out of a possible 69 points. This is the first LEED Platinum building for The University of Vermont.

The completed project includes a green roof system, a 2500sf solarium addition to harbor a mezzanine classroom, and an eco-machine, all of which provide a new face for this prominent building at the entrance to the UVM campus.
