Stephentown Home, Stephentown, NY

Full structural services were provided for this 5,400 square foot residence in Stephentown, NY.  Design featured a full douglas fir timber frame clad in structural insulated panels for the body of the house and a hybrid structural insulated panel breezeway and garage.

Central Vermont Home, VT

Full structural engineering services were provided for 9,000 sf traditionally joined timber frame residence and attached 3,600 square foot sports facility barn. The work included the design of timber trusses supporting roof and floor, spanning 33’-6”, structural design and detailing of the custom, stringerless Floating Stair, and the review of the structural insulated panel enclosure

Hudson Passive Project, Claverack, NY

Structural foundation and framing design were provided for an 1800 +/- square foot passive energy home in Kenoza Lake, NY.  This prototype rural home-of-tomorrow, the Hudson Passive Project is an energy conservation project designed by Dennis Wedlick Architect, built by Bill Stratton Building Company, and realized with support from NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research

Shelburne Residence, Shelburne, VT

Structural analysis and design were provided for a partial two story 9,000 square foot residence constructed with a combination of wood and steel framing. The basement space includes a partial at-grade walk out portion and a lap pool.  Services were also provided for a new horse barn and renovations to the guest house.

Fabric Formed Treehouse, Warren, VT

Structural services were provided for a fabric formed, multi-level terrace with pergola, and a three story treehouse adjoined with a suspended slab bridge. The construction included five, 29’ continuously poured columns, upon which the structural floor plates are attached, with cantilevered stairs providing the egress to the lower level and balcony. Suspension Bridge, Lincoln, VT

Engineering Ventures provided the design and assisted with the construction of a cable stayed suspension bridge. This bridge replaces the hand-operated cable trolley previously in use and allows the owner to walk or ride their ATV across the bridge as their single point of access to the property.
