North Country School Performing Arts Center, Lake Placid, New York

The North Country School Walter Breeman Performing Arts Center is currently under construction, but will soon be a centralized space for students to develop, practice, and showcase their blossoming talents. The building will house a theater for about 300 people, with a series of catwalks, practice rooms, a workshop, and a grand entryway. Engineering Ventures

Putney School Gray Dorm Renovation, Putney, VT

EV provided structural engineering services for this sustainably designed renovation to the Gray Dorm at The Putney School, an independent high school in Putney, VT. Energy efficiency was a key element of the project – winning this project and architect, Maclay Architects, the Efficiency Vermont 2019 “Best of the Best” Commercial Building Design & Construction

Putney School Field House, Putney, VT

Structural services were provided for a 15,000 sf, multi-purpose field house adjacent to the Dining Hall with a Pedestrian Link. The facility, is a net zero building, which will produce more energy than it consumes. The high-performance building envelope was carefully detailed to avoid thermal bridging and air infiltration. This project received a LEED Platinum Certification.

Dresden Schools, Hanover, NH

Structural engineering services were provided for extensive renovations and additions to Hanover High School and Richmond Middle School in the Dresden School District of New Hampshire. This district dating back to 1934, required reframing and re-use conversion for the gymnasiums, auditoriums, kitchen and cafeteria areas, and entry.  A new 12,000 sf gymnasium was constructed, as

Springfield Public School System, Springfield, VT

Civil and structural services were provided for additions and renovations at three elementary schools.  Improvements include drainage issues, wetland disturbance, stormwater attenuation and treatment, water pressure upgrades, new bus loop and parking, repairs to retaining walls, foundation improvements, and interface between additions and existing buildings.

Charlotte Central School, Charlotte, VT

Civil and structural evaluations were performed on the existing site and school buildings, to advise on concept options and cost estimates for the development of a conceptual design by the architect. Capital improvements included renovations and construction of a new south wing. Recommendations were made for bus circulation to address safety concerns.
