The North Country School Walter Breeman Performing Arts Center is currently under construction, but will soon be a centralized space for students to develop, practice, and showcase their blossoming talents. EV provided structural engineering services for this sustainably designed renovation to the Gray Dorm at The Putney School, an independent high school in Putney, VT. Structural services were provided for a 15,000 sf, multi-purpose field house adjacent to the Dining Hall with a Pedestrian Link. The facility, is a net zero building, which will produce more energy than it consumes. The high-performance building envelope was carefully detailed to avoid thermal bridging and air infiltration. This project received a LEED Platinum Certification.
Structural engineering services were provided for approximately 7,000 sf of renovation to an existing house and barn at this not-for-profit, non-sectarian educational facility. The new structure is a 10,000 sf. single story building with a partial mezzanine.
Structural engineering services were provided for a $ 12M, 47,000 sf, 2-story addition which included; a gymnasium, auditorium, and cafeteria. The project also included 60,000 sf of renovations.

This $55M school expansion was completed in 2007 and included multiple additions as well as renovations and improvements to meet current seismic codes.
Civil and structural services were provided for additions and renovations at three elementary schools. Improvements include drainage issues, wetland disturbance, stormwater attenuation and treatment, water pressure upgrades, new bus loop and parking, repairs to retaining walls, foundation improvements, and interface between additions and existing buildings.

Civil and structural evaluations were performed on the existing site and school buildings, to advise on concept options and cost estimates for the development of a conceptual design by the architect.
